Michael Raymond Smith
Michael Raymond Smith was born July 5, 1945 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Robert and Tommie Foster Smith. He passed from this life Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at United Regional Health Care in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 69.
He and Lonna Knowles were married January 16, 1993 in Ryan, Oklahoma. Mike worked as a metal tester for over 40 years at Halliburton in Duncan. He was a member of the Ryan Church of Christ. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and OU Football fan. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren in any of their activities.
He is survived by his wife - Lonna of the home in Ryan, his children - Mark Smith and wife Lacey of Duncan, Tammy O'Dell and husband Randy of Duncan, and Michael Smith and wife Jennifer of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, siblings - Frankie Richey of Duncan, Shirley Freeman and husband Joe of Duncan, Terry Smith and wife Teracita of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rowena Crouch and husband Alan of Upland, California, grandchildren - Ashley, Braeden, Dustin, and Travis O'Dell, Matt and Morgan Smith, and Jacob, Lucas, Marcus Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service for Mike will be Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Church of Christ in Ryan with David Wingfield and Michael Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Visitation will be from 10-Noon on Saturday at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. (612 Washington).
