Michael Jay Cephus
Michael Jay Cephus was born January 17, 1957 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Charles "Burr" and Frances (Weems) Cephus. He passed from this life Monday, June 23, 2014 at his home in Waurika at the age of 57.
Mike drove a cattle truck for many years and was also a welder. He worked as a pipeline Inspector for XTO. He enjoyed rodeo and was a bull rider. He was a member of the Addington Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter and grandson - Lacy Kay and Gage Graham of Marlow, Oklahoma, nephew - Brud Brown and niece - Kelly McLaughlin. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Leslie Kaye Brown.
Funeral service for Mr. Cephus will be Wednesday at 11:00AM at the Addington Baptist Church with Dee Bowen and Jason Ebenhack officiating. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7PM. Memorials may be made to the Addington Baptist Church Youth Fund.
