Maye Ward
Maye Ward, at the age of 76, went to be with her Lord on June 16, 2019. Maye was born June 2, 1943, in Terral, Oklahoma, to Ramzie Williams and Gertie Pink (Maness) Williams. She married Dale Ward on April 17, 1965, and together they had three children.
Maye worked at Haggar Slacks and was a cook for many years at the Ryan High School. She enjoyed spending time with her twin sister Faye Etheridge, baking for fundraisers for her church and she loved her Lord. Maye was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Ryan.
Maye was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her parents, her brothers Buster Williams, Steven Williams, Lloyd Williams and Jewell Williams and her sisters Billie Williams, Janice Owen and Faye Etheridge.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle (Wallie) Garcia of Oklahoma City, Shanna Torres of Ryan, and Glenda (Joe) Hernandez of Waurika, eight grandchildren, Kendra Harrison, Cannon Harrison, Coby Torres, Alexandria Selby, Kayla Salazar, Taylor Salazar, Darian Hernandez and Bryson Hernandez, and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the First Assembly of God Church in Ryan, with Curtis Plant and Lynn Plant officiating. Interment will follow at the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Viewing will be Tuesday, June 18 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, June 19 from noon to 8 p.m. at Dudley Funeral Home, Waurika, with family receiving guests from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorials: First Assembly of God Church in Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore.
