Max Geralde Wells

Max Geralde Wells was born December 9, 1930 in Bellevue, Texas to O.B. and Jessie Riddle Wells. Max passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 United Regional Health Care in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of eighty. He grew up in Hastings, Oklahoma and graduated from Hastings High School in 1949. He was a carpenter and worked in the maintenance department at Jefferson County Hospital for 8 1/2 years before retiring in 2000. He and Loma Duke Maness were married on May 6, 1995 in Waurika. He was an avid fisherman. He adored his wife and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Max was preceded in death by his by his parents and his first wife Jean.

He is survived by his wife Loma of the home in Waurika, daughters - Paula Watson and husband David of Houston, Texas, Peggy Fletcher and husband Jim of Waurika, Oklahoma, Vonda Glasgow and husband Mark of Temple, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren - Michael and Amanda Glasgow, Preston Glasgow, Lorrie Glasgow, Josh and Wendi Watson, Benjamin and Alyssa Watson, and Jennafer Watson, Jake and Garidawn Fletcher, Zac Fletcher, Tyler Fletcher, and Sindi Fletcher, thirteen grandchildren - Willow Watson, Lilianna Watson, Katelyn Watson, Kenan Glagow, Payton Fletcher, Katlyn Porterfield, Benjamin Porterfield, Reagan Fletcher, Kami Fletcher, Damian Fletcher, Tristin Fletcher and MacKenzie Fletcher.
Max is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Max will be Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 2:30 at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with Jay Driskill officiating. Burial will be in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7PM. Memorials may be made to the Hastings Cemetery Fund.
