Mattie Lee Madeliene Elliot passed from this life Wednesday, September 17, 2003, in the Ryan Nursing Home at the age of seventy-eight. She was born May 19, 1926, to Rufus and Deanie Mae Morrell in Soper, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Irving Baptist Church. Mrs. Elliot was a good mother and grandmother. She and Ralph Arby Elliot were united in marriage November 10, 1943, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 26, 1990.

Survivors include: three sons - Dennis Elliot of Sugden, OK, Tommy Elliot of Sugden, OK, and Tony Elliot of Terral, OK; two daughters - Dena Darlene Cannon of Duncan, OK, and Doris Osmont of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters - Joyce Morrell of Houston, TX, and Doris King of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Deanie Morrell, her husband, Ralph Arby Elliot, three brothers, one sister, and one son, Patrick Arby.

Graveside services for Mrs. Elliot were at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 19, 2003, in the Sugden Cemetery with Clarence Mize officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
