Mary Vernece Parker died Friday, October 18, 2002, in Hollywood, Florida, at the age of sixty-eight. Vernece was born to Vern, Sr., and Katheryn Thompson in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on February 16, 1934. She helped manage her husband's dental office.

Survivors include: her husband, Dr. Thomas Parker of the home in Hollywood, FL; a son, Steve Parker of Davie, FL; a daughter, Deborah Spencer of MO; an uncle, Don Thompson of El Dorado, KS; and six grandchildren - Brian, Kyle, Jonathan, Jennifer, Christopher, and Blake.

Funeral services for Mrs. Parker were held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 26, 2002, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche, Oklahoma. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
