Mary Ella Lowe passed from this life Sunday, September 16, 2001, at the age of 72. She was born September 29, 1928, to Alvin and Virdie Thompson in the Waurika Hospital. She married Kenneth Lee Lowe on September 3, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Lowe worked in the Jefferson County Treasurer's Office for thirty-eight years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sorosis Club, the First United Methodist Church of Waurika and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by: one daughter - Carol Craven and her husband Mike, of Waurika; two grandchildren - Leona Craven of Stillwater, OK, and Rodney Craven of Waurika.

She is preceded in death by: her parents Alvin and Verdie Thompson and her husband Kenneth - March 6,1984.

Services for Mrs. Lowe were Wednesday, September 19, 2001, at 2:00 PM in the Waurika Methodist Church with Reed Montgomery officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
