Mary Lou Lilley-Stevenson

Mary Lou Lilley-Stevenson was born July 8, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to John and Christine Karlin. Mary Lou passed from this life peacefully December 9, 2019, at the age of 71, at the home of her daughter Paige Cummings.

Mary Lou Karlin married Johnny D. Lilley February 10, 1967, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mary Lou was a homemaker until her children were in school. From 1985 to 1992 she worked for the Waurika Public Schools as an aide. From 1992 to 1999 Mary Lou worked for the Jefferson County Hospital and Dr. Steven Hinshaw. She then retired and stayed at home until 2008, when, after losing her husband, Johnny, she started working part-time at Eck Drug Store. In 2012, Mary Lou met Donald R. Stevenson. They were married September 24, 2012. After her husband Don passed away in 2016, Mary was moved into Ashbrook Assisted Living Facility, where she lived until October 2019, when she moved in with her daughter Paige Cummings and granddaughter Hope Cummings. She was known to many as "Meme" and "Mama Lou."

Mary is survived by: her children Jb Lilley and his wife Kristi of Springfield MO, and Paige Cummings of Hastings, OK; her sister Lizzy and her husband Rick Walker; and grandchildren Haley Brittain, Landon Taylor, Hope Cummings, Zachary Lilley, Luke Taylor, Chezni Golden, and Creed Lilley.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2019, at the Church of Christ in Waurika with Tommy Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. The family requests memorial contributions be given to the Hastings Volunteer Fire Department, Waurika Public Schools, and Waurika Church of Christ.
