Mary F. Hill

Mary Francis Hill was born February 12, 1926 at home in the community of Union Hill the 14th child to James Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth Lockwood Wigham. She passed from this life Sunday, January 5, 2014 at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls at the age of 87 years.

Mary and Leonard Ritcherson Hill were married October 5, 1941 in Ryan, Oklahoma. Mary was a homemaker and practiced nursing for many years. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Ryan and enjoyed singing in the choir and also teaching Sunday School. She also cooked for the Ryan Lions Club for many years.

Mary is survived by her husband of 72 years - Leonard of the home in Ryan, children - Sandra Chapman, Delores Allen and husband Ike, Tommy Hill and wife Mary Ann, and Peggy Moore and husband Mike, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one due in April, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons - Danny and Teddy, son in law - Curtis, granddaughter - April, and 13 siblings.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Church of Christ in Ryan with David Wingfield and Mark Kunkel officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon-8PM and Wednesday from 10AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7PM.
