Mary Clarice Hall

Mary Clarice Hall was born December 14, 1908, to George and Lou Bertha Foster Trout in Loco, Oklahoma. She passed from this life September 30, 2003, in Southwestern Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of ninety-four.

Clarice graduated from Loco High School in 1926. She worked at Pioneer Telephone Exchange for several years in the late 20's. She and Roby J. Hall were united in marriage in Loco, Oklahoma, September 14, 1929. He preceded her in death in June of 1959. The couple made their home in Loco, where they farmed and ranched. They also lived in various parts of Texas and Oklahoma, following the oil fields. After Roby's death Clarice went back to school and earned her L.P.N. license. She worked for Meridian Nursing Home and later at the Comanche Nursing Center for twenty years. She enjoyed traveling and working with the Loco Extension Homemakers, of which she was a charter member.

Clarice was a lifetime member of the Loco Methodist Church. She served as clerk and treasurer of the Loco City Council. She was a member of the Loco Election Board. She enjoyed caring and maintaining her flower gardens and visiting with old friends and relatives.

Survivors include: two sons - George and his wife Lynda of Mustang, OK, and Larry Hall of Newcastle, OK; four grandchildren - Alan Hall, Kyle Hall, Karalisa Duncan, and Lori Copeland; six great-grandchildren - Jessica, Brett, Taylor, Clint, Nikki, and Kent; a special niece - Mary Sutton; and a special nephew - Billy Bob Deaton.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Duke Oliver Trout, and three sisters , Marie Deaton, Allene Edmondson, and Lois Faye Trout.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hall were at 10:00, Friday, October 3, 2003, at the Loco Baptist Church, with David Mingus and Randy Southerland officiating. Burial was in the Loco Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
