Mary Alice Fenimore was born August 15, 1926 in Iowa Park, Texas, to William Everett and Lois Lavina Cantrell. Mary passed from this life Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of eighty. She was a graduate of Burkburnett High School and was a Baptist. Mary worked for the bakery at Sheppard Air Force Base and worked as dispatcher for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department for many years. She and Robert Busby were married January 20, 1944 ,in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1959. She married John Ross Sr. in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 1972. She married Delbert Fenimore May 24, 1989, in Duncan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death September 21, 2005.

Survivors include: two sons - Jerry Busby and his wife Jimmie, and Robert H. Busby, Jr. and his wife Sherry, all of Waurika, OK; one stepson - Robert W. Busby and his wife Linda of Port Alto, TX; one stepdaughter - Patsy and her husband Robert Nixon of Austin, TX; one son-in-law - Dutch Elkins of Waurika, OK; one sister - Geraldine Roberts of Healdton, OK; one sister-in-law - Charlcia Cantrell; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, daughter Carolyn Ann Elkins, and three brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fenimore were at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Waurika with Robert Jacobson and Charles McConnell officiating. Burial was in the Burkburnett, Texas cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waurika Ministerial Alliance.
