Marland Glenn Swift II

Marland Glenn Swift II was born June 9,1967 in Lawton, Oklahoma to La Dema (Akeen) and Marland Glenn "Tank" Swift I. He passed from this life Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Waurika at the age of 46.
He graduated from Riverside High School in Anadarko. He graduated from Sequoia Indian School in Tallequah. He attended college at Bacone in Muskogee where he sang in the choir. He was a wild land firefighter and a truck driver. He and Melinda Porterfield were together eighteen years and were married January 8, 2012 in Waurika. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika. He was an artist, hunter, and an avid OU Football fan. His favorite hobby was being one of the biggest fans of the Lady Eagle Softball Team.
He is survived by his wife Melinda of the home, hie grandmother Ella Akeen of Gracemont, OK, his children Allen Stephenson of Lawrence, Kansas, Reyna Swift, Kianah Swift and Shane Swift all of the home in Waurika, siblings - Mickey Swift, Myron Swift, Damon Hunt, Marsha Phillips, James Black, and David Dennington.
Funeral service for Mr. Swift will be Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Robert Jacobson officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 at Rock Springs Cemetery in Anadarko under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8PM and Thursday from 9-8PM with a wake being from 6-8PM with George Akeen, Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Youth Fund.
