Marion Othell Wingfield

Marion Othell Wingfield "Pa, Pop, Uncle Mouse, Uncle Mice, Micey, Mouse, Micey the Hobo" was born on the Bennington Farm on the Blue River, and grew up in Caddo, Oklahoma. Marion was the youngest of eight children, born to Benjamin and Dulcie Beatress "Nonnie" (Fite) Wingfield June 18, 1932. He passed from this life September 1, 2019, at the age of 87.
He was stationed in Germany, which is a long way from home for an Oklahoma country boy. By fate, his pen pal became the love of his life. Upon returning to the states he married Wanda Lee Tutt April 8, 1955. Although she passed in 1970, his heart always belonged to her. He raised a family of four, three girls and a boy. He always provided for his family and to those in need. He was generous to a fault. Over the years he was proud to call Caddo, Oklahoma, Carrollton, Texas, Cedar Hill, Texas, Van, Texas, and Ryan, Oklahoma home. Marion was a member of the Ryan church of Christ. He retired from the Texas Highway Department in the late '80s.
His favorite things were his kids and their spouses, his grandkids (his pride and joy), and the rest of his family, including his church family. He loved Dr. Pepper, What-A-Burger, and football! He cherished trips that he took with his family, as well as time spent at home sitting underneath his pecan tree. If you ever spoke to him you were his friend, and he may have even bestowed a nickname on you. If you are one of the fortunate ones who bore one of his nicknames, please cherish it and know that it was a term of endearment.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his one true love, Wanda, and each of his loving siblings: Edmond, Ada Belle, Jim, Alice, Oneta, Benjamin, and Laura Jo.
Survivors include: his daughter Cindy Rowan and husband Doyle of Cedar Hill, Texas, his daughter Brenda Rico of Dallas, Texas, his son David Wingfield and wife Britany of Ryan, Oklahoma, and daughter Susie Barnes and husband Craig of Bellevue, Texas; his five grandchildren: Roger Langston, Trey Cooper and wife Jordan, Courtney Cooper, Dawson Wingfield, and Carson Wingfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Marion will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at the Ryan church of Christ in Ryan, Oklahoma with David Wingfield and Craig Barnes officiating. A private burial will follow at Hilltop Memorial park in Carrollton, Texas on Wednesday. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, September 2, 2019, at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan, Oklahoma.
