Margie Burnice Macy

Margie Burnice Macy left this life to be with her Lord Sunday, January 9, 2005, at the Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of seventy. She was born August 19, 1934, in Houston, Texas, to Veldon Earl and Nora Bell Tomlinson. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved all children and was love by all that knew her. She and her husband own and operate the Lapidary Rock Shop in Comanche, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and member of the Corum Baptist Church. She was also a member of the North Texas Gem and Mineral Club and the Rolling Rock Club. She and Herbert N. Macy were married February 19, 1952, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She enjoyed all God's creation.

Survivors include: her husband - Herbert, of the home in Comanche, OK; two daughters - Margie Kay and her husband Mike Boyles of Comanche, OK, Nita Fay and her husband David Prucha of Duncan, OK; one brother - Milton and his wife Sarah Tomlinson of Texas; three sisters - Reta and her husband Ronald Sprow of Pennsylvania, Algerene and her husband Ronald Ballard of Duncan, OK, and Louise Weatherly of Chico, TX; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Mrs. Macy were at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at the Corum Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Humphries officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
