Marcella M. Arizola

Marcella M. Arizola, 79, passed from this life Friday, April 29, 2005, at Comanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma, after an extended illness. She was born January 31, 1926, in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Julio P. (J.P.) and Victoria M. Arizola. She was the second of their seven children.
Marcella was a migrant worker for many years. Around 1957, she moved her family to Ryan, Oklahoma, where she continued to live until her passing. She served the community as a nurse's aide at the Ryan Nursing Home. Among numerous other jobs she was also a housekeeper. She believed in working hard and helping others. She was devoted to the Lord, her family and placed all others before herself. Her desire was always to serve others, but her priority was to serve the Lord. She loved life and loved talking to others about God. She brought smiles to many faces. She will missed dearly.
Marcella is survived by: two sons – Sipriano (Sam) Arizola, of the home and Philip (Arizola) Guillen and his wife Denise; four daughters – Alicia Arizola of Ryan, OK, Margaret and her husband Bobby Joe Martin, Sr., of Nocona, TX, Josie and her husband Lee Smith of Canon City, CO., and Becky and her husband Jody Zachary of Stillwater, OK; Grandchildren – Bobby Joe Martin, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX, Consi Arizola of Pawnee, OK, Jerod Guillen of Stillwater, OK, Natasha Grubbs of Wichita Falls, TX, Erika (Guillen) and her husband Clint Peavler of Aurora, CO., and Eddie Grubb, Jr. of Burkburnett, TX; Great-grandchildren – Christian Peavler of Aurora, CO, Kaitlyn Grubbs of Burkburnett, TX, and Anastasia Peavler of Aurora, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two sons – Joe and Jimmy Arizola, four brothers – Felix Arizola and three infant brothers, two sisters – Julia Guana and Vicenta Cardenas, and two grandchildren – Maria Elena Martin and Rena Victoria Zachary.
Services will be held at the Ryan Church of Christ in Ryan at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 3, 2005, with Rodger Schwenn, Minister of the Church of Christ in Lawton, officiating. The family will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Ryan from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, May 2, for a time of visitation. Memorials or contributions may be made to the First State Bank in Ryan, OK.
