When she was four years old, her family moved to Oklahoma in a covered wagon. She married Fred Beetch August 1, 1917, in Walters, Oklahoma, and lived in Comanche most of her life. She was lovingly known as Mawmaw to her eleven grandkids, fifteen great-grands, eleven great-great grands and two great-great-great grands. She was Beetchie to her dearest neighbors. She devoted her life to serving her Savior and showed His unconditional love to everyone she met. She enjoyed family gatherings, riding horses, cooking, gardening, playing dominoes, reading her Bible and singing; she especially loved to play the piano when the grandchildren would gather around and sing. She was a charter member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Addington, Oklahoma, and a member of the Corum Garden Club. She was chosen Duncan Founders Day Queen in June of 1993, when she was ninety-four years old.
Maggie never met a stranger and she was an exceptionally giving person. All who knew her will remember the Godly example shown by her gentle, kind, sweet spirit. Her legacy is the inspiration she gave to all of us, her quick wit and sweet smile will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Meridian Nursing Home for so many years of compassionate professional service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church Mission Fund, P.O. Box 338, Duncan, OK, 73574.
