Mable Iris McKelroy was born January 6, 1927, in Whitesboro, Oklahoma, to Henry Allen and Else Pearl Rayburn Ramsey. Mable passed from this life Thursday, December 28, 2006, at the Westbrook Nursing Home at the age of seventy-nine. Mable worked as a nurse at the Jefferson County Hospital. She and Lonnie McKelroy were married in Waurika. He preceded her in death December 9, 1998. She enjoyed quilting, canning, gardening, and reading.and was a Baptist.

Survivors include: one daughter - Gail Muhlbaurer; one son - Donnie McKelroy; two sisters - Edith McManus and Nina Houston; one sister-in-law - Ada Bell Ramsey; three grandsons - Marty, Cliff and Nathan McKelroy; three great grandsons; and two great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Junior Ramsey.

Funeral services for Mrs. McKelroy were at 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 30, 2006, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Rev. Curtis Plant officiating. Burial was in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Foundation.
