Louis F. Vallo passed from this life December 2, 2002, in Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of eighty-one. He was born August 19, 1921, to Frank and Marianna Vallo in New Hamburg, New York. Mr. Vallo was a member of the Praise Assembly of God Church in Comanche, Oklahoma. In 1982, Mr. Vallo retired from Conrail after thirty-two years of service. He and Blanche Williams were united in marriage on August 7, 1944, in Comanche, Oklahoma.
Survivors include: his wife, Blanche, of the home; one son, John Vallo and his wife Kim of Beacon, NY; two daughters - Beth Vansill of Duncan, OK, and Shirley Weintraub of Tappan, NY; one sister, Angie Craft of Beacon, NY; six grandchildren - Susan Keane, Lacy McClanahan, Kaitlyn Vallo, John Vallo, Jr., Anthony Vallo, and Lyle Vansill; and two great-grandchildren - Andrew and Thomas Keane.
He is preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Vallo were at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 5, 2002, at Praise Assembly of God Church in Comanche with Warren Harkins officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
