Mary Louise Lookabaugh

Mary Louise Lookabaugh passed away April 28, 2007, in Waurika, Oklahoma, after a brief illness. She was born October 3, 1928, in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Opal and Monroe Leonard. She married Roy Tuffy Lookabaugh in 1948, and they had five children.

Louise attended high school in Greenfield, Oklahoma, and business school in Tulsa. She worked in Tulsa a short time before her marriage. She also worked at various times as Head Start aide and substitute teacher in Wilburton and Waurika, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, tennis, swimming, and staying active in her children's sports and music activities. She chaperoned bus trips and cooked for band functions and fund-raising activities.

Survivors include: her husband, Roy, of the home in Waurika, Ok; four daughters - Anita and her husband Steve Anthony of Waurika, OK, Beverly and her husband John Chronister of Moore, OK, Cynthia and her husband Billy Guinn of Oklahoma City, OK, and Paula Lookabaugh of Waurika, OK; one daughter-in-law - Carol Lookabaugh of Del City, OK; eight grandchildren - Robert Chronister, Russell Chronister, Stephanie Mooney, Ashley Pitt, Alicia Guinn, Alex Guinn, and Mae Curtis; and ten great-grandchildren - Andrew, Sarah, and Abigail Grant, Jazmine, Gavin and Tate Mooney, Akasha, Desirae and Makayla Pitt, and Parker Dean.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters - Dollie Jo Miller, and Annie Marie Bowers, her son, Joe Lookabaugh, and her grandson, Kevin Grant.

Graveside services for Mrs. Lookabaugh were at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 30, 2007, at the Waurika Cemetery with Trevor Smith officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation was on Sunday, April 29, 2007, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and Monday, April 20, 2007 from 9:00 until service time at the Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
