Lorene Morris Blackburn was born May 26, 1921, to Leonard and Vera Morris in Loco, Oklahoma. She died Monday, May 30, 2005, in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-four. She was a Mary Kay Cosmetic Consultant for more than thirty years in Bowie, Texas and Waurika, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: one daughter - Donalda Sue Strickland and her husband Gerald T., of Granbury, TX; two grandchildren - Steven Strickland of Fairfield, CA, and Lorie Karol of Frederick, MD; four great-granddaughters - Stephanie, Danielle, and Marissa Strickland, and Nichole Karol; one great-grandson - Bryan Strickland; two brothers - Elmer and Emmitt; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, DJ Dink Blackburn in 1974, her father in 1972, her mother in 1987, three sisters, Reva 1995, VaLois in 1996, and Maxine 1997.
