Lonnie Wade Alsup was born May 27, 1935, in Fleetwood, Oklahoma, to Buster and Lizzie Leavelle Alsup. Wade passed from this life Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma. Wade and Tooter Hinsley were married October 16, 1953, in Henrietta, Texas. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher in the Fleetwood and Terral communities. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Terral.

Survivors include: his wife Tooter Alsup, of the home in Terral, OK; three sons - David, of Nocona, TX, Barry of Terral, OK, and Chris of New Braunfels, TX; one daughter - Teresa Tallon, of Waurika, OK; one brother, Clint of Terral, OK; one sister - Deanna Holley of Terral, OK; six grandchildren - Bridget Hawkins, Aaron Alsup, Cash Alsup, Jillian Alsup, Carly Tallon, and JoBeth Tallon; and four great-grandchildren - Dalton Hawkins, Kara Hawkins, Chandler Hawkins, and Carlee Alsup.

Funeral services for Mr. Alsup were at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 30, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Terral with J.D. Leavelle and Gene Washburn officiating. Burial was in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral. Pallbearers were Martin Villarreal, Raymond Villarreal, Nicholas Valderas, Randy Hamil, David Alsup, Chris Alsup, Barry Alsup, Rick Tallon, and Randy Hamil. Honorary pallbearers were C.J. Anderson, Max Weatherly, Sam Countiss, Wayne Jackson, Vicente Villarreal, Avery Linton, and Mayo Garcia. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Terral.
