Lois Rose

Lois Rose was born September 20, 1913, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Milton and Mary Matthews Echols. She passed from this life Sunday, February 4, 2007, at the Westbrook Nursing Home at the age of ninety-three. Lois and Charlie Rose were married in July of 1981 in Waurika, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika. Her father, Milton Echols, came from East Texas in 1902 and homesteaded 360 acres south of Waurika. He prepared the farmstead and went back to East Texas in 1904 to bring back his family.

Survivors include: one son - Don Harris and his wife Sharon of Albuquerque, NM; her step-children - Lawanna and her husband Kenneth Blevins of Waurika, OK, Phillip Rose, Paula Scott, Jimmy Rose, and Kenney Rose; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mrs. Rose were at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at the Waurika Cemetery with Rev. Charles McConnell officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
