Lois Ann Michel Collins
Services for Lois Ann (Michel) Collins, 60, will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 1st at Ray of Hope Church in Comanche, OK with Pastors Mike McCord and Dow Pannell officiating. All friends and family are welcome to attend and help us celebrate her life.
Born on December 19, 1949 to John and Essie (Huskey) Michel in St. Marys, PA, she died Monday, April 12, 2010 in her home in Waurika, OK.
She spent 42 years in the nursing profession from working in Dr’s offices, hospitals, home health care and private care. She touched and blessed the lives of all her patients and their families. In addition, she was a homemaker, doting grandma and even became an avid fisherman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Essie Michel, a brother, Tim Michel, and an infant sister, Rose Marie Michel.
She is survived by mother Frances Michel; special friend Glenn McGuire of Waurika; her children, Lisa Fields and husband Sam of Sulphur and Jason Collins of Waurika; sister Mary Burden and husband Teddy of Wilson; brothers John Michel and wife Poppy of DeSoto, TX, Tom Michel and wife Jamie of Comanche, James Michel of Springtown, Leo Michel and wife Cindy of Duncan, Bill Michel and wife Diana of Comanche, Bobby Michel and wife Cathy of Duncan, and Donnie Michel of Ft Worth, TX; five grandchildren Sassy, Alyssa, Samuel, Rheanna and Kyliee Fields of Sulphur; countless nieces and nephews.
