Linda Faye (Wilkerson) Prewitt
Linda Faye Prewitt, 66, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life September 8, 2016. She was born January 16, 1950, in Comanche, Oklahoma, to Albert and Beatrice (Clayton) Wilkerson. She graduated from Waurika High School in 1968. She and Bill Prewitt were married December 20, 1969 at the Waurika Assembly of God Church where she was a member. She ran a day care center for many years and worked for Westbrook Nursing Home. She drove a school bus for twenty-seven years and was an EMT with the Waurika Ambulance Service. She loved to garden when she was younger and always had flowers in her yard. Her main interest was her entire family, especially her boys and their families. She loved playing with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also really enjoyed crocheting afghans.
Linda was preceded in death by her father Albert Wilkerson and her mother Beatrice Wilkerson, and her infant brother John Paul Wilkerson.
Survivors include: her husband William "Bill" Prewitt, of the home in Waurika, OK; her mother Ruby Wilkerson of Waurika, OK; her sons William Leroy "Billy" Prewitt and his wife Carol, and Benjamin "Jamie" Israel Prewitt and his wife Alecia; her siblings - Gene Wilkerson, Jerry Wilkerson and his wife Donna, Roger Dale Wilkerson; Margie Wilkerson Ball, Shirley Wilkerson Wheeler, Patty Wilkerson Bryant, and Mike Wilkerson and his wife Sherri; her very special aunt Velma Jo Beville; her grandchildren William Dillion and Ellie Prewitt, Gaylin, Katelin and Roslin Prewitt, Rachel Lewis, Amanda Ernest, Anna Lewis, Connor Lewis, William Bentley Prewitt, and Liam Dillion Prewitt.
Funeral services will be held for Linda at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, Septembr 13, 2016, at the Waurika Assembly of God Church with Bro. Chris Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Wilkerson, Mason Wilkerson, Clyde Bryant, John Walling, Jessee Brackett, Chad Forsyth, Blake Latta, Ronnie Stanley, and Michael Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers Mike Wilkerson, Gene Wilkerson, Jerry Wilkerson, and Roger Wilkerson. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday with the family in attendance from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
