Linda Nell (Roberson) Griffin

Linda Nelle (Roberson) Griffin, 69, passed from this life Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was born March 26, 1946, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to Roscoe and Martha Jayne (Watts) Roberson. Linda and Bill Griffin were married March 1, 1977.
Linda held numerous positions, including nurses aide, swing machinist in several factories, administrative assistant for various companies and secretary in attorney and church offices. She enjoyed volunteering as a Sunday school teacher and at Ryan Public Schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ryan. She was saved at the age of ten at Spears Chapel on Trout Ranch and baptized there in the lake. She was an amazing cook and seamstress and raised parakeets. She loved being outdoors and hunting and fishing. Linda was a strong and generous Godly woman. She leaves behind a legacy of Christ-followers who know Him because she introduced them to Jesus. She cared for everyone she knew, whether family, friend or stranger. She had the kindest heart of anyone we knew.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Martha Jayne Roberson, her baby girl Alicia Jaynell and her brother Weldon Roberson.
Survivors include: her husband Bill, of the home in Ryan, OK; her daughter Roscella and her husband Perry Meeks of Hopkinsville KY; granddaughters - Lindsie and Maegan Meeks; grandson Logan Meeks; brother Bill Roberson and his wife Debbie of Ryan, OK; sister and best friend Pam Roberson of Henrietta, TX; nieces - Monti and her husband Tracy Walker of Madill, OK, Prissy and her husband Mike Peters of Saginaw, TX, Wendi and her husband Rian Dunlap of Burkburnett, TX, and Kayce and her husband Cy Ashley of Henrietta, TX; nephews Mike Roberson and his wife Tina of Marlow, OK, Billy Ray Roberson and his wife Melissa of Henrietta, TX, Travis Roberson and his wife Brandi of Melissa, TX, Slade Roberson and his wife Jennifer of Edmond, OK, and Shane Roberson and his wife Paula of Wichita Falls, TX; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 23, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Ryan with Pastor Steve Spangler officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday at the Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. The family will receive visitors Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Burial will be held at the Ringgold Cemetery in Ringgold, TX at 1:30 PM.
