Linda Beth Taylor Dorrough was born September 19, 1962, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Ron and Jean Renfrow Taylor. Linda passed from this life Thursday, January 12, 2006, at the Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of forty-three. Linda and Audie Dorrough were married October 28, 1979, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Linda was a homemaker. She had also worked as a bank teller and in various secretarial positions until she became ill. She was president of the Oklahoma Baptist W.M.U. where she was serving her fourth term. She was vice-president of the National W.M.U. Linda was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Waurika.
Survivors include: her husband, Audie, of the home in Waurika, OK; one son - Aaron Dorrough and his fiance Sydney; one daughter - Brandi and her husband Brian Scott; two sisters - Rhonda Ketcher and Patricia Pack; one grandchild - Madi Scott; her husband's parents - Al and Juanita Dorrough; her sister-in-law - Brenda Hoosier; and three special friends - Meryln Kelley, Lawanda Roberts, and Sherry Havener.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorrough were at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Rev. Audie Dorrough and Dr. Steve Havener officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Waurika Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
