Lillian Inez Gay was born December 9, 1917, in Madill, Oklahoma, to Jim and Liza Simon Welch. She passed from this life Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of ninety. She was married to Grover Brantley Gay. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to play bingo.

Survivors include: her two sons Harold Gay and his wife Betty of Guthrie, OK, and Larry Gay of Waurika, OK; two sisters - Ruby Copeland of Bakersfield, CA, and Aline Kerr of Wichita, KS; one grandson Nick Gay and his wife Crystal and their two children Maddie and Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Christopher, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gay will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 29, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Waurika, with Robert Jacobson officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
