Letha W. (Martin) Griffin

Letha W. (Martin) Griffin, 99, passed from this life January 25, 2017. She was born January 3, 1918, in Apache, Oklahoma, to Jim and Betty (Eakins) Martin. She was a registered nurse at the Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma during World War II and worked as a nurse and teacher in Jefferson, Stephens and Comanche counties in Okahoma. She was married in October of 1945 to James Bonnel Griffin. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ryan.

Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband James Griffin, her parents Jim and Betty Martin, and three brothers - Coy Martin, Max Martin, and Lonny Martin.

Survivors include: her son Bill Griffin of Ryan, OK; brothers - Joe and Jerry Martin; grandchildren - Roscella Meeks and Billy Paul Griffin; and three great-grandchildren - Lindsie, Maegan, and Logan.

Graveside services for Mrs. Griffin will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Terral Cemetery with Steve Spangler officiating. Services will be under the direction of Dudley Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Terral Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Terral Cemetery Association. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dudleyfuneralhomes.com.
