Leroy Schram

Leroy Schram was born May 17, 1926, in Ringgold, Texas, to Ed and Shorty Schram. Leroy passed away October 18, 2006, at Kell West Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of eighty. Leroy owned and operated Leroy’s place in Terral, Oklahoma. He and Garnett Cain Beavers Schram were married in April 1965. She preceded him in death in June of 1985. Leroy served his country in World War II in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include: two stepsons - Tommy and his wife Verda Beavers of Edmond, OK, and Jim Beavers of Ft. Worth, TX; one sister - Sue White of Seattle, WA; one brother-in-law - Jerry Qualls and his wife Wanda; two granddaughters - Shannon and her husband Chris Price, and Kayelyn and her husband Steve Appling; six great-grandchildren - Andrew and Addison Price, William Emma, Evan and Tate Appling; five nieces - Hope Chisum, Sharon Johnson, Linda Batchelder, Shelly Barrett, and Debra O'Sullivan; and one nephew - Eddie Pewitt.

Funeral services for Mr. Schram were at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 20, 2006, at the Ryan Cemetery with Bro. Clarence Mize and Bro. Jason Vance officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
