Leon Black was born July 15, 1930 in Muldrow, Oklahoma, to Mary
Ann Kelly and Kie Black. He passed from this life Monday,
May 12, 2008, at the Veterans Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
at the age of seventy-seven. He was a self-employed cabinet maker
until his retirement. He served his country in the United States
Army.
He is survived by: his children; Darrell Wayne Black of Waurika,
OK, Roger Black of Waurika, OK, Brenda Roberts of Bartlesville,
OK, Sheryl Hoggatt of Norman, OK, Diana Michel of Comanche, OK,
Rick Black of Waurika, OK, and Laura Tircuit of Galveston, TX;
twenty-one grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Bill, and
three sisters - Betty Lasiter, Audrey Boggs, and Orphia Roberts.
Funeral services for Mr. Black will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May
15, 2008, at Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with Dow Pannell
officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the
direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be
