Lee Roy Morrison

Lee Roy Morrison, 82, was born on March 8, 1919, in Newell, Alabama and departed this life on July 30, 2001, at the Duncan Regional Hospital.

Lee Roy married Louise Craft on June 22, 1946, in Terral, Oklahoma. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Terral. He received the Silver Star for gallantry in action while serving with the Sixth Armored Division during World War II.

Survivors include: his wife, Louise, of the home; three sons, Gary Morrison of Ryan, OK, Larry and daughter-in-law Tina Morrison of Ryan, and David Morrison of Terral; six grandchildren, Nicole Morrison, Heath Morrison, Mandi, Amy and Haley Morrison, and Melissa Morrison; two sisters, Effie Allen of Irving, TX and Ernestine Hawkins of Ft Cobb, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 1, at 9:00 AM in the Terral Cemetery with Rev. Charles Parker officiating, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral. Pallbearers were Billy Jack Turner, C.J. Anderson, Mike Gunter, Steve Gunter, James Croxton, and Randy Croxton. Honorary pallbearers were Avery Linton, C.C. Kirby, Frank Day, and Don Garrison.
