Larry James Sewell

Larry James Sewell was born February 25, 1936, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to Sam and Ludie Mae Fuller Sewell. Larry passed from this life Friday, June 27, 2003, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Oklahoma. Larry and Gale Ellis were married August 31, 1968, in Henrietta, Texas. Larry was a carpenter for many years and owned and operated Sooner Total in Ryan. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Ryan, a member of Hell's Angels, and a lifetime member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Survivors include: his wife - Gale Sewell, of the home in Ryan, OK; three sons - Larry Michael Mike and his wife Denise of Vallejo, CA; James Mason Jim and his fiance Jackie Terrell of Ryan, OK; and Joe Bob and his fiance Cristi Enos of Ryan, OK; one sister - Lou Smith and her husband Roy, of Burkburnett, TX; and two grandchildren - Joshua Ryan Sewell of Vallejo, CA, and Aaron Jacob Sewell of Hill AFB, UT.

Funeral services for Mr. Sewell were at 3:00 PM, Monday, June 30, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Ryan with Randy Allen officiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Pallbearers were Raymon West, Keith Hall, Dennis Goss, Stan Good, Jimmy Edwards, Morris Bryant, Billy Cotton and Clay Turner. Honorary pallbearers were C.J. Anderson and Clayton Peterson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
