Larry Leo Gay
Larry Leo Gay, 72, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life Monday, February 20, 2012, in Waurika. He was born February 17, 1940, in Waurika, to Grover and Lillian Welch Gay. He worked as a ticket clerk for Trailways and Greyhound Bus Companies and after he retired from the bus companies he went to work at Shelton's Grocery.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one brother, Harold and his wife Betty Gay of Guthrie, OK, one nephew, Nick Gay of Guthrie, OK, a great nephew Jacob Gray of Guthrie, OK, and one great niece, Maddie Myers of Elsworth, KS.
Funeral services for Mr. Gay will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with Robert Jacobson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Gay, Stan Good, Foster Morris, Pat Welch, and Don Welch. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery. Visitation will be at Dudley Funeral Home from noon to 8:00 PM Thursday, and Friday 9:00 until service time. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
