Larry Van Durbin
Larry Van Durbin was born May 13, 1949 in Henrietta, Texas to Van and Jimmie Elizabeth (Turner) Durbin. He passed from this life Monday, September 27, 2010 in Oklahoma City at the age of sixty-one. Larry and Marsha Henderson were united in marriage on July 14, 1972. To this union three children were born. Larry worked for PPG of Burkburnett, Dwyer Auto Parts in Wichita Falls for twenty five years, and retired from Jefferson County District 1 in 2001. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jolly, Texas.
He is survived by his father Van Durbin of Wichita Falls, Texas, children - Chad Durbin and wife Sarah of Waurika, Wade Durbin and fiance' Katie of Bowlegs, and Derrick Durbin and wife Lacey of Waurika, brother Allen Durbin and wife Vickie of Wichita Falls, Texas.
He was also proud Papa to Tristan, Legend, Falyn, Amy, Ashlynn, Jonathon, and Joslyn.
He is also survived by his "sidekick" and best friend Fay Cronin of Waurika. They knew each other for years and became better friends in October of 2008. He is survived by numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jimmie and brother Dale Durbin.
Funeral service will be Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 1:00PM at the Addington Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Ebenhack officiating. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7PM.
