Larry Gene Dennard passed from this life Tuesday, July 9, 2002, in the Jefferson County Hospital at the age of fifty-four. He was born April 28, 1948, to T.H. Choc and Jewel Burris Dennard in Waurika, Oklahoma. Mr. Dennard worked for Halliburton in construction maintenance and was a member of the Church of Christ. He and Barbara were united in marriage on April 26, 1968, in Waurika, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army for two years.

Survivors include: his parents, T.H. Choc and Jewel Dennard of Waurika, OK; his wife Barbara Dennard of Waurika, OK; one son Timmy Lynn Dennard and his wife Teri of Duncan, OK; one daughter, Kristi Renea Dennard of Waurika, OK; one brother, Junior Dennard and his wife Olivia of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Karen Walsh and her husband Barry, of Houston, TX; and one Grandchild, Kelsi Dennard.

Funeral services for Mr. Dennard were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 12, 2002, in the Waurika Church of Christ with Noel Curington and Bob Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
