Larry Wayne Cornelius was born July 19, 1950, to John and Jean Cornelius in Comanche, Oklahoma, and passed from this life Monday, December 16, 2002, at his home in Duncan, Oklahoma, at the age of fifty-two.

Larry attended schools in Comanche and Duncan, graduating from Duncan High School in 1968. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1968, and served his country in Viet Nam in 1969 and 1970. He worked as a machine operator for D&R Right of Way, Inc.

Survivors include: his father, John Cornelius of Duncan, OK; one daughter, Cortney Gould of Duncan, OK; two grandsons, Brendon and Trevor Gould, one sister, Debi and her husband Bill Campiche; one niece, Amber Campiche; and numerous friends and other family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Cornelius, in 1994, one brother, Joe Cornelius, and his grandparents, W.A. and Eloda Cornelius and Barney and Mae Beatty.

Graveside services were held for Mr. Cornelius at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2002, at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche with Billy Morgan officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
