Kenneth Leroy Taylor

Kenneth Leroy Taylor was born October 9, 1925, in Everton, Arkansas, to Bevie Swafford Taylor and William Lee Taylor. Kenneth passed from this life Friday, May 10, 2013, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, at the age of 87.

Kenneth graduated high school and then served his country in the Army Air Corp. Kenneth and Betty Carlton were married in 1946, in Arkansas. To this union three sons were born - Carlton, Gerald, and Buddy. Kenneth drove a truck from 1950 to 1993. He was given the Safest Driver Award in the State of Arkansas which was a National Honor. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

He is survived by his sons - Carlton Taylor and wife Betty of Harrison, Arkansas, Gerald Taylor and wife Pam of Ringling, Oklahoma, and Buddy Taylor and wife Laura of Chula Vista, California; grandchildren - Kimberly Drewry and husband Marc, Connie Weatherly and husband Dustin, Zach Taylor and wife Carrie, great grandchildren - Kaitlyn, Taylor, Westin, Presley, and Dallie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers - Junior and Bryan. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to the Anderson Flat Cemetery in Everton, Arkansas.
