Kay Brezina
Kay Brezina, age 82, passed from this life on Monday, July 27, 2020 in Waurika, Oklahoma surrounded by her family after a strongly fought battle with cancer. She was born September 28, 1937 in Center Point, Oklahoma to Paul B. and Ruth Newcomb Hammons and was the oldest of three children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dixie Fern Hammons Montgomery and is survived by her husband, Charles Brezina of Waurika; brother Paul Hammons and wife Barbara from Oklahoma City and their children and grandchildren; son Jerry Mark Brezina and wife Sandra of Wichita Falls, Texas together with granddaughter Michelle Matthews and husband Robby of Iowa Park, Texas and children Jacob and Dalyn; granddaughter Julie Marek and husband Jesse of Coppell, Texas and children, Chloe and David; son Jeffrey Charles Brezina and wife Stacy of Waurika together with grandson Catlin Brezina and wife Samantha of Waurika; granddaughter Bali Brezina and fiancé Justin Winslett of Waurika and children Kinslee and Dallee; son Jason Paul Brezina and wife Blanca of Wichita Falls, Texas together with Randy Rowe of Dallas, Texas, Travis Rowe and Rina Rodriguez both of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Kay has resided in Waurika, Oklahoma for over sixty years and will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted friend. She worked many years at the Waurika Livestock Market, local businesses and spent countless hours supporting her family. Kay was a long-term member of the First United Methodist Church in Waurika and resided on multiple committees, supported many projects, and prepared countless meals in which her cooking could be beat by none. She was steadfast in her love and devotion to our Lord and Savior and modeled a loving and forgiving nature. She always had a smile on her face, loved to visit and never met a stranger.
At the time of her death, Kay was peaceful and ready to join our Heavenly Father for eternity. She requested no memorial service or flowers, but rather, invited memorials to be made to the First United Methodist Church located at 438 East D. Avenue, Waurika, Oklahoma 73573. The family would like to thank all of Kay's closest friends for the outpour of love and support during this time.
