Katheryn Marie "Kathy" Handley, forty-one, of Meridian passed from this life into an eternal life in heaven Sunday, October 31, 2004, in Oklahoma City. Kathy was born February 20, 1963 in Bitsburg, West Germany, the second of four children to John and Ruthie Lackey Howington. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1981. On June 15, 1987, she and Tony Handley were united in marriage in Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked as a waitress at Bob's and a sales clerk at Save A Lot and Chisolm Corner.

Survivors include: her husband, Tony, of the home in Meridian, OK; two daughters - Tara and her husband Mike Green of Meridian, OK, and Lacy, of the home in Meridian, OK; her parents, John and Ruthie Howington of Meridian, OK; two sisters - Linda and her husband Dee Watson of Meridian, OK, and Terri and her husband Martin Ehredt of Almagordo, NM; one brother, Andy and his wife Michelle Howington of Edmond, OK; and two grandsons, Payton Fletcher and Skyler Green; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her beautiful smile and her zest for life.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Sam and Joyce Lackey and Jinnie and Stella Howington.

Funeral services for Mrs. Handley were at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche, Oklahoma with Rev. Jim Deal officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
