Karen Dale Johnston Roth

Karen Dale was born February 24, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Albert Boyce and Vada Grimes Johnston. She passed from this life February 17, 2014 at United Regional Health Care at the age of 72.

Karen graduated from Midwestern State University and TWU. Karen taught music at various colleges around the Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas area. She also taught piano in her home. She was a member of the Plano Music Teachers Association, Plano Civic Chorus, National Music Society, Chamber Music and the PTA. She was also a charter member of the Christ United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children - Kathleen Roth, Taylor Roth, and Rebecca Dickey, sister Jean Johnson, granddaughter Micayla Proctor and great grandsons - Zachary Matthew Martin - Roth and Grayson Brett Norris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter - Kadence Anne Norris, and niece Ada Franklin.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00AM at the United Methodist Church in Waurika with Lydia Pelican officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Family visitation will be from 4-6PM Thursday.
