Julia Boyd McManus was born January 31, 1010, to Grover Lee and Maggie Ethel Cleveland in Aquila, Texas. She passed from this life on January 10, 2002 in the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Oklahoma at the age of 91.

Mrs. McManus was married to Clifton McManus on September 25, 1926, in Ryan, Oklahoma. Mr. McManus preceded her in death on May 24, 1996. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include: three sons -- Eugene McManus of Lipan, TX, Billy Ray McManus of Waurika, OK, and Clifton Jr. McManus of Arkansas City, KS; three daughters -- Betty Jo Kelly of Waurika, OK, Sue Durham of Waurika, OK, and June Lee Rowe of Moore, OK; one sister -- Frances Woods of Waco, TX; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Waurika Church of the Nazarene at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2002 with Rev. Richard Dean officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Pallbearers were Howie Durham, Rodney Rowe, Steven Rowe, Tim Boren, Glen Hobbs, and Kenny Wall.
