Julia (Rodriguez) Alcantar

Julia (Rodriguez) Alcantar, 45, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed from this life September 5, 2019. She was born February 17, 1974, in Nocona, Texas, to Thomas Rea and Lionida (Rodriguez) Martinez. She married Javier Alcantar July 15, 2011, in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Julia was a medical assistant at the Comanche County Hospital and the Heart and Vascular Center in Lawton. She was Catholic. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend, and will forever be living in our hearts and souls. When her sister Erlinda passed in 2015, she became "Mom" to her children Daisha, Mercedes and Maliki.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Florentino Rodriguez, parents Thomas Rea and Lionida Martinez, her sister Erlinda Smith, and her brother Jacob Martinez.

Survivors include: her husband Javier Alcantar, her son Kevin Perez, her grandmother Guadalupe Rodriguez, her sister Eiffie Mendoza, and her brothers Ricky Dominguez and Roger Martinez.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday September 10, 2019, at the San José Catholic Church in Ryan, Oklahoma with Deacon Manuel Garcia officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be at Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM.
