Juanita Marie Phillips Elkins

Juanita Marie Phillips Elkins was born September 13, 1932, in Sweetwater, Texas, to John Zenas and Evadean Phillips. She passed from this life June 23, 2013, at the Jefferson County Hospital at the age of eighty.

Juanita worked at Montgomery Ward and as a Supervisor for Ripling River Golf Resort in Oregon for 33 years. Juanita was a member of the Waurika Church of Christ. Juanita married the love of her life, Clyde Jerry Elkins on April 24, 2003, in Bowie, Texas. They made their home in Waurika, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death June 27, 2006.

Survivors include: one- Larry Dean Barwick of Brightwood, Oregon; daughter- Susan Marie Hayes of Oregon; brother- John Z. Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde, and son Donald Lee Barwick on November 27, 2012.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Elkins will be Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 1:00PM, at the Waurika Church of Christ, with Bob Harrison, Noel Curington, Biff Eck and Tim McHugh officiating. Interment for Mrs. Elkins will be at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Bellvue, Texas at a later date. Services are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika, Oklahoma.
