Ruby Juanita Couch was born October 16, 1923, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to K. T. and Janie Velma Stott. She passed from this life Friday, November 7, 2008, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital at the age of eighty-five. She worked as a nurses aide for more than twenty years at the Westbrook Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika.
Survivors include: her children - Ruby Parker of Waurika, OK, Eddie Couch of Hope, AR, Janie Baxter of Round Rock, TX, and Larry Couch of Waurika, OK; four brothers and sisters- A. D. Buster Richardson and Junior Richardson both of Waurika, OK, Claudie Richardson of DeSoto, TX and Dewey Richardson of Lewisville, TX; eight grandchildren; and nineteen grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Phillips will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 10, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Rev. Jeff McLemore officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel.
