Josephine Josie Black
Josephine "Josie" Black was born December 9, 1953 in Victoria, Texas to Jose and Emelia (McDonald) Sanchez. She passed from this life Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Duncan Regional Hospital surrounded by her family at the age of 60.
She and Roger Black were married May 9, 1992 in Waurika. She was a retail store manager. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Pool League. Josie was a very giving lady who always enjoyed making arts and crafts and baking. She enjoyed being with all her nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She is survived by her mother and father - Jose and Emelia Sanchez of Waurika, her husband - Roger of the home in Waurika, son - James David Black, siblings - Frances Vines and husband Jake of Lone Grove, Joe Sanchez and wife Christy of Waurika, and Sandy Leal of Waurika. She is also is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews - Jason Black, Jenny Black, Dusty Black, Nikki Mizyed, Michael Roberts, John Hoggatt, Chris Hoggatt, Travis Michel, Kayla Michel, Zack Michel, Rachel Black, Ashton Black, Kye Garvin, Keegan Luna, Abraham Archer , Alex Black, Athena Tircuit, Scarlett Hunter, Jacob Vines, IV, Steven Vines, James Vines, Joseph Sanchez, Christopher Sanchez, Lisa Sanchez, Dena Davila, Justin Leal.
Funeral service for Josie will be Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 12:30 at Ray of Hope Church with Dow Pannell and Mike Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Friday from noon-8PM with a rosary being held from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
