John Paul Wagoner

John Paul Wagoner, of Wichita Falls, Texas, was born June 1, 1928, in Independence, Virginia, to John and Flora Wagoner. Mr. Wagoner died December 18, 2003, at the Wichita Falls Hospice after a long, brave battle with cancer. He worked as a driver for North American Van Lines for more than twenty-five years. After retiring, he and Doris settled in Wichita Falls, Texas. He drove for several local companies, recently driving for Rezenberger Rail Co., for the last several years. He worked and traveled to visit family while enduring the very painful cancer, without complaining. He will be remembered as having great patience and endurance by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include: his wife of the home in Wichita Falls, TX, Doris Day Wagoner; his children - Robert, Joyce, Donnie, and Richard, all of Florida; two sisters - Gladys Delp of King, NC, and Ruby Morton of Florida; his step-son Roger Fowler of Kamay, TX; step-daughters - Charolette Savedra of Whittier, CA, and Gale Bender; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, W. Glenn Wagoner, a sister, Grace Wagoner Moxley, and a son, Jeff Wagoner.

Funeral services for Mr. Wagoner were at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 22, 2003, in the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Clarence Mize officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas.
