John Torres, 86, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed from this life August 19, 2018. He was born August 21, 1931, in Mead, Colorado, to Bacilio Tirado Torres and Elvira (Martinez) Torres. He was married to Ethel Geneva Morris on September 18, 1964, in Ft Worth, Texas. He loved his grandchildren and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bacilio and Elvira Torres, Ethel, his siblings - Domingo "Sandy" Torres, and Virginia Torres, his children Patrick Torres and John "Little John" Torres, and one granddaughter Lori Torres.
Survivors include: his children Sharon, Mike, Kathleen, Mark, Angela, Mary, Andrew, Carla, John Jr., Alfredo, and Virginia; his siblings Basil Torres, Richard Torres, Rudy Torres, and Luis Torres; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Power House of Deliverance, 401 Patterson Street, Comanche, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika on Friday from noon to 8:00 PM with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday.
