John E. Duncan
John E. Duncan, 75, of Ryan, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in the Ryan Nursing Home. He was born June 18, 1925, in Terral, Oklahoma, to Jesse and Minnie Duncan. He married Darlene Duncan May 20, 1945, in Duke Oklahoma. She preceded him in death December 1, 2000. He was a farmer, oilfield pumper and a member of the Terral Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: four daughters – Meleta and her husband Leman Weber of Orlando, FL, Maxine and her husband Roger Shelton of Henrietta, TX, Brenda and her husband Harold Cathey of Ryan, OK, and Birdena and her husband Tim Crawford of Ryan, OK; four brothers – Wilburn and David Duncan of Waurika, OK, Orbie Duncan of Wheeler, TX, and Leland Duncan of Lawton, OK; three sisters – Addie McClintock of Rock Hill, SC, Faye Gibson of Wylie, TX, and Frances Huddleston of Wichita Falls, TX; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday at the Terral Assemby of God Church with Rev. Charles Parker officiating. Burial will be in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Friday and 11:00 AM to Noon Saturday at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Ryan.
