Joe Shelton Shel Keith was born December 3, 1926, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to Frank and Mary Keith, and passed from this life Wednesday, November 27, 2002, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of seventy-five.

Shel and Colleen Smith were united in marriage December 21, 1951, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He owned and operated a trucking company.

Survivors include: his wife Colleen, of the home in Terral, OK; one son - Bobby Keith of Terral, OK; three daughters - Carolyn and her husband Larry Crowley of Henrietta, TX, Cynthia and her husband Ricky Martin of Terral, OK, and Linda and her husband Tony Elliott of Terral, OK; three sisters - Vivian and her husband V.C. Helms of Waurika, OK, Wilma and her husband Charles Reynolds of Wichita Falls, TX, and Pauline and her husband George Newsom of Saginaw, TX; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Graveside services were held for Mr. Keith at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2002, in the Terral Cemetery with Howard Walker and Charles Parker officiating. Burial was in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral.
