Joe Frank Foster was born August 31, 1932, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Iva Ray and Frank Foster. Joe passed from this life Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital at the age of seventy-four. He served his country in the United States Navy in the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam. He married Dorothy M. Smith in Reno, Nevada, September 1, 1951. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy, of the home in Waurika, Oklahoma; his mother, Iva Mock, of Waurika, OK; one son, Rod Foster, of Euless, TX; two daughters - Julie Sands of LaMesa, CA, and Linda Meier of Spring Valley, CA; one brother, Raymond Foster of New Mexico; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Foster were at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 3, 2007, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, with Rev. Curtis Plant officiating. Services were under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
